Monkey see, monkey do

Cousins Hannah and Caleb came down for a visit. It was a ruckus time for all! Unfortunately Sebastian has forgotten how to share. I guess he has been out of daycare for too long, this made it hard on mommy. However, everyone survived, only a couple of bumps...

They watched the construction across the street

Played with blocks

Luckily we had three pull toys...

Danced at the rail

Then the reinforcements showed up!

Little Stinker

I didn't think there would be anything noteworthy today, but Sebastian took care of that...This is what happens when mommy leaves the room for a minute...

So he opened the lazy susan, took out the newly opened bag of osyter crackers, took the clip off and voila instant party!

So proud of himself...

He did help cleanup...

Cows on the Concourse

Today was our favorite day at the market. In addition to the regular market, it featured everything dairy! We viewed live cows, ate grilled cheese, drank chocolate milk and looked at the exhibits.

There was a movie star among us

Here are the three cousins just before a much needed snack of grilled cheese and chocolate milk. Even though the picture doesn't show it, they all had a good time! Sebastian loved his red balloon. We shopped for awhile afterwards, but the boys soon tired of being in their strollers so we ran around on the capital lawn.

Up with the sun!

Sebastian was up with the sun at 5:45am! It was a gorgeous day an he didn't want us to miss a minute of it. After we dropped off a job application, we took a long run and stopped half way to play at the entrance to picnic point.

I taught him to pick and blow dandelion puff flowers - it was a hit!

Fun on the parallel bars

After dinner we visited Grandpa and Grandma Zabel. Then Aunt Kristine showed up with Hannah and Caleb. Sebastian was so happy to see his cousins, it was quite a ruckus scene. At one point Grandma was talking on a corded phone and all three kids were holding on to the cord and jumping up and down screaming. Wish I had brought the camera.

Vilas Run

Sebastian and I took a run to Vilas park. It was a sunny, cool day and we were the first ones to the playground. At about 9:00am the park starts to fill up as the buses of kids arrive and wait for the zoo to open.

Sebastian mostly wanted to chill on the swings and watch girls. So young and already a swinger.

Conquering the digger

found a new playmate.

After we got home he played his usual game of yanking mommy's barrette out of her hair while she does crunches. He also likes to use mommy as a jungle gym and bounce on her belly. Finding mommy's belly button is also an endearing game.

That evening we took a stroll to the capitol and played on the lawn.

and did a little tree huggin...

Good day to stay in

Today was a cold and rainy day. We staid inside and did some cleaning. I vacuumed, while Sebastian mopped.

It turned out to be a nice evening so we did some errands downtown. Afterward we went up to the Monona Terrace to let off some steam. The main attraction this time was the drinking fountain. Daddy taught Sebastian how to drink out of one one on Sunday, so we had to visit it over and over. Let's just say he had a very full diaper when he got home. Unfortunately I didn't have the camera with me.

Indian Lake Hike

Sebastian and I decided to enjoy the beautiful sunny day by taking a hike at Indian Lake. The high humidity made it feel like warm summer day.

At first we just explored.

Time to gather the equipment. Baby nalgene - check!

Off we go...

We found flowers and leaves along the way. Unfortunately we didn't see much wildlife. Either Sebastian's chattering or my huffing and puffing scared them away.

I'm tired mommy, let's go home
